Getting my feet wet

Remember when you were little and you stood at the edge of the Winder Pool and stuck your toes in? Even though everyone told you that it was better just to jump in and get it over with (like ripping off a bandaid) you still had to test the water to see if it was colder than it's normal cold or warmer than it's normal cold. This is my first blog posting in my life and I'm getting my feet wet before deciding to start my own. I love hearing about people's lives and staying connected with everyone and a blog seems to be easier than sending e-mails out to everyone. Maybe I'll get ambitious and try to post a picture today. I don't know, though, it takes a lot of time to get from dipping your toes to stepping onto the baby steps in the pool. By the way, I'm in Seward Alaska now for the summer and it's way to cold to dip your toes into anything up here!

Hey SUE - baby steps, baby steps. See, you can blog! Thanks for the picture. It looks awful cold there - it is starting to get real warm here. We miss you. Keep posting pictures and adventures for all of us. We love to see them.

Hi Alana,

We just painted the pool today. So in a week or two we'll have some nice cold tap water in that green hole in the ground. I saw pictures of Bently in Texas swimming in his little floaty, and it looked nice and warm. Have fun, and keep us posted on life.
