Scheduling...?
Hey, sorry, I was just wondering, when is the pool cleanup? Cabin cleanup? I am really excited to be able to contribute to these things this year. I love the cabin and the pool. Thanks!

Woops
The letter below was intended for our Bret and Wendy family Blog. I obviously goofed somewhere along the line and posted it on the wrong blog. Woops! I would like to publicly thank Andrea and Aimee for reading it (and then being so nice in their comments.) I am sure it sounded a little weird in this context. There is probably a way to remove it but with my computer skills, who know where it would go.

Piano (mom)
Dear Family,
I am sitting here all caught up on emails which, to me, is infinitely better than being caught up on laundry. I am also listening to "little brother" play the piano so beautifully that I am so full of gratitude I can hardly stand it. It actually could be any of you playing. I just love to hear people (especially the ones I gave birth to) on the piano. I don't know what I am going to do when everyone is out of the house. I may have to start lessons myself. I just love hearing the piano blasting away and Max is so good at that!!
Speaking of Max, he had his last football game today at West High School. He got to start and play the most he has played all season. Granger won and they are Region Champs. If only that could happen their senior year. The Sophomore coach even talked to me before the game and asked how Max has enjoyed the season and if I thought he would play again. It was a good chance for me to thank him for all he has done to let Max join late and give him so many opportunities. He was really kind in saying how much Max's group of friends has added to the team.
So it is almost 11 pm and dad is still at the church. I hope he wasn't translated or something because he is such a great, hard working guy and devotes ALL of his time to his job and church assignments. That is not to say that he doesn't devote it to me but just that he is so unselfish with his time and such a good example for us all.
I had a nice experience in the Jordan River Temple yesterday morning. I ran into Uncle Rich on my way in and then again in the chapel where he said in a very loud whisper voice (think of grandpa when his hearing got really bad) that we should stand in the prayer circle together since the session was pretty small. For a minute I thought we may be the witness couple. Anyway, it was really sweet to be with him as his grip reminds me so much of my dad. I don't think Rich's health is very good. His breathing is labored (a stark change from my hiking days with him) and I know he has other health problems. It was just a sweet moment for me.
Now Max is playing "Remember." Wow, a walk down memory lane.
Love you all. Mom

Cousin's Party and November Family Meeting
Hi everyone, it's Aimee posting.
I have two things... first of all, it's been a year since our last cousin's party. Is anyone up for another one? I don't mind hosting, but if someone else wants to make the food assignments, that would be great!
Secondly, it looks like we don't have anyone scheduled to host family meeting in November. Matt and I had a turn in January, but I don't mind hosting again, if there aren't any other takers. (Or, if someone wants a turn to host, but doesn't have the space, we'd be happy to have it at our house and they can do the lesson and/or refreshments.)
Over and out.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

“I was born on Thursday, June 1, 1922 in Room 207 of LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. I suppose June 1 is a pretty good day for a birthday since I share my birthday with my great-great grandpa Brigham Young, President Kimball’s wife Camilla, and of course, Marilyn Monroe!” -Ned Winder
We love and miss you SO much.
We hope everyone did something nice for someone else today in memory of our wonderful Dad/Grandpa/Grandpa-Great!

Hey Jed!
So, I saw this article on MSNBC.com about how lots of people have unclaimed money and all you have to do is a free search on the state's treasury department, blah blah blah anyway I took the liberty of searching for everyone and Jed has unclaimed money! And for that matter so does Winder Dairy's Ogden division. So go claim your money and don't forget to pay me my 50% finders fee!

I think I checked for everyone but you should all go to the website and check again. Oh and don't forget about that finders fee : )

The Bret and Wendy Bassett Family will be hosting Family Meeting this Sunday, April 5 at 6 pm in their home. Please come. And please watch General Conference so you can participate in what will be a wonderful discussion. If your kids (or you) do any of the activities that Andrea sent out (the packet thing) have them bring that, too, and we will share that.
Lots of family fun. Hope to see you there. Love you all.

It's a Small World!
This is Aimee posting. Mike and I just got this email from a friend of ours, who is a city councilman in Taylorsville:
"Hello Aimee and Mike, I hope all is well with you and your families. I just wanted to let you know that we ran into your cousin (?) Alana about a week ago while we were in Chaing Mai, Thailand for a vacation. We felt inspired to visit the only LDS Branch in the city and had a wonderful experience. Low and behold she was there. What a small world huh? Anyway, she said to tell you hi. Regards, Morris"
So Alana really was in Thailand and wasn't just posting bogus stories/pictures. (Just kidding, Alana!)
